Meet Sergio!

Sergio immigrated with his family to Southern California from Costa Rica over 30 years ago.

After graduating from U.C., Riverside, Sergio was awarded a scholarship to attend the prestigious Stetson University College of Law, ranked No. 1 in Trial Advocacy and No. 3 in Legal Writing in the United States. While at Stetson, Sergio served as President of the Immigration Law Student Association and helped clients obtain visas, permanent residence (“green cards”), and U.S. citizenship during an internship.

Sergio also interned with the U.S. Department of Justice, at the Krome Immigration Court, where he researched complex immigration issues and wrote judicial opinions for an immigration judge.

After graduating from Stetson, Sergio decided to continue his passion for Immigration Law, and has since dedicated his career to representing clients in Immigration Court (EOIR), with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), with the Department of Labor (DOL), with the Department of State (DOS), and against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Sergio is fluent in Spanish. He enjoys watching and playing soccer and tennis, and is married with one son, Sebastian.
